St Abbans Table Quiz

Many thanks to all who supported our Table Quiz on Friday last. It was great to see Behans lounge full with lots of competition between tables. The Dingbat round in particular, caused plenty of deliberations.

Congratulations to “Table No 7”, Tadhg Brennan, Brendan Kealy, Brendan McCormack and Colm Holligan who took victory on the night with 73 points. They beat off competition from “3 Men and a Lady” (70 pts) and “Quizzy Rascals” (69 pts) to claim top spot. A huge thank you to all 3 teams who returned their prize money. Our raffle was also very generously supported and we are very grateful for that.

Thank you to Pauline and her team of correctors and collectors who kept the proceedings moving quickly. Also a big thank you to Alan Hartnett, our quizmaster who is growing into the role year on year. Finally to all who donated spot prizes and provided refreshments thank you very much.
