National 10k Road Championships-Dunboyne

The Dunboyne 10k incorporated the National 10k Championships this year with a large number of athletes taking to the start line in search of National honours. Cheryl Nolan led the charge from a St Abbans perspective, taking on her first voyage over the 10km distance. Cheryl relished the new distance clocking a super time of 33:27, a new PB and Club Record. Cheryl was 4th female across the finish line with Shona Heaslip taking overall victory in the Women’s event. It marked a step up in distance for Cheryl which will see her test herself over the longer distance throughout the summer. Colin Coyne finished in 82nd place with a time of 34:14 with Damien Fitzgerald further back in 48:54.
