Leinster Intermediate and Masters Cross Country Championships

The Leinster Intermediate and Masters Cross Country Championships were held in miserable conditions in Avondale Co Wicklow on Sunday. With Storm Isha making its way across the country, there was plenty of wind and rain to welcome the small number of athletes who travelled from the club to Wicklow. Claire Phelan and Siobhan Burke both battled well in the Masters Women's race with Siobhan finishing 6th (F45) 18th overall, and Claire 17th (F40) / 41st overall. In the Master's 65+ race, Dick Mullins finished 14th overall and 4th in his age category (M70).

The Leinster Juvenile Cross Country Relays were held before the adult races took place. The Girls U.14 team (Lily O’Neill, Zoe Dunne, Leah Dunphy & Laura Ayres) who battled the elements to take home the silver medal.
