
PBs for Jack & John at the AAI Games
The AAI Games took place at the National Indoor Arena in Abbotstown on Saturday with a host of athletes taking part from the club. Eoghan Buggy opened his season in the Men’s 60m where he clocked a 7.21 and 7.24 performance across 2 rounds. Saragh jumped a seasons best of 12.78m when taking first place in the Women’s Triple Jump. In the Men’s 800m John Delaney and Niall Harvey both competed in heat 3. John held on to the leading group early on, and was rewarded with a new PB of 1:58. A fast finishing Niall Harvey was just outside of the 2 minute barrier finishing in 2:00.77. Jack Fenlon continued his blistering start to 2024 when he clocked a new Pb of 8:09 in the Men’s 3k, just 2 seconds outside of the World U20 Championships qualifying standard. Cian Kelly got his indoor season underway when he ran 8:33 in the same race. Senior athletes will now have 3 weeks of preparations before the National Senior Championships which will be held on 17th February.
